In April’s experience as a clinician, she has worked with adolescents, adults and families struggling with anorexia, bulimia, and binge eating disorder at the partial hospitalization, intensive outpatient, and outpatient levels of care.  She currently has a private practice in Woodland Hills, CA, where she works as a Program Therapist at The Bella Vita, a partial hospitalization program for the treatment of eating disorders.  April received her Master’s degree at Phillips Graduate Institute in Encino, CA and is an MFT Intern under the supervision of Lori Schur, RN, PhD.

April works with her clients collaboratively with a humanistic approach integrating Eastern concepts of mindfulness, compassion and acceptance with cognitive behavioral therapies, including dialectical behavioral therapy.  She provides empathic guidance to help individuals find their own empowerment and to trust in their intuition in the therapeutic process.  Along with her professional background, April brings authenticity, compassion, gentle humor and energetic optimism to her practice.

April is currently pursuing her Doctorate of Psychology at The Chicago Professional School of Psychology in Westwood, CA.  She is ecstatic to be a part of the CCHL team, and for the opportunity to continue to foster her passions as a therapist!
