The essence of CCHL’s philosophies lies in its holistic approach.  Challenges around weight and body image are usually very complicated, and require attention to all the contributing factors in order to achieve lasting change.  We highly recommend that everyone who partakes of CCHL services undergoes a comprehensive evaluation that begins with our physician.

For some, however, there may be reasons to seek consultation with our dietitian, fitness personnel, therapist, or chef directly—without seeing the physician first.  If only ONE of our services is needed, this may be the right path for you.

Some examples of those situations include:

  • Participation in any of our group programs that are offered, whether or not you are receiving individualized services.
  • See our Registered Dietitian:
  • You are referred for nutritional support for a medical or metabolic condition, unrelated to weight or body image;
  • You want to ensure that you are feeding yourself healthfully throughout your pregnancy.
  • See our Food Consultant:
  • You need help with setting up and organizing your kitchen, as well as putting together a meal plan that is healthy but, more importantly, manageable with a busy life.
  • See our Therapist:
  • A new parent wants to address her old eating disorder thinking that seems to be flaring up since her baby was born.
  • The child is growing well consistently, but the parent is extremely anxious that the child will end up overweight.

As our professionals get to know you, they may advise you that you would benefit from a more comprehensive approach.  In that case, a recommendation may be made to schedule an appointment with another professional within our group.
