Matthew Wong

In 1993, after graduating with his business degree from The University of Virginia (McIntire School of Commerce, Class of ’91) he established his own fitness and wellness company. He catered to New York City’s elite, where he trained CEO’s and their families. The focus was on creating healthy lifestyles through a team of practitioners that integrated the mind body and spirit. He also consulted for Mens Health Magazine ensuring that all photographed exercises were done in proper form.

Understanding that healing and wellness had to encompass the mind, emotions, the physical body and the Spirit, Matthew was one of the pioneers in combining Eastern methods of healing with Modern Western Science.

In collaboration with his family (Jennifer and Gayook Wong) Matthew expanded the business to Hawaii where they created a spa on wheels under their Holding company JMG Incorporated.  Here, they combined their deep commitment to holistic wellness, family education and contribution with their deep love of Dance. Together they worked closely with Non Profits, at-risk youth and Government Educational Agencies to create synergy, teambuilding, leadership skills and overall wellness.  They were written up in numerous magazines, newspapers and were seen on television interviews/commercials.

Today, Matthew brings his love of sports (soccer, volleyball martial arts), dance,  his expertise in fitness and his commitment to working with children/families to where he creates a fun, safe yet disciplined environment to redefine health for each individual or group he works with.
